Steps involved in the building processPrior to the actual construction of your Ross North home, there are several processes involved. This step-by-step guide will walk you through those processes and identify the members of our team you are likely to come into contact with.Buying your blockThe first step in this exciting journey involves the purchase of your block of land. No doubt you will have your own set of criteria which will determine where you purchase your block. These may involve proximity to schools, shopping, family and work, as well of course as budget.Your Ross North Group Sales Consultant can help you with advice at this time if for instance the block may require special consideration when building because it is sloping or an odd shape. It is at this point that the negotiation and subsequent purchase of the block of land is completed with the land estate agent, with the Offer and Acceptance form signed. Home designOnce your building site has been selected, it is time to meet with your Ross North Group Sales Consultant. View the huge array of award-winning homes and discuss and determine the special requirements that will turn one of our designs into your unique home with a sketch of your home situated on your block.Plan Preparation AgreementWith the design concept complete, it is time for your Sales Consultant to arrange for a quotation and to prepare the Plan Preparation Agreement for presentation to you. This now is the launching pad from where exciting things really start to happen!Working drawings and colour packThe engineers report and the site survey must be completed so that the plans can be drawn. While this is happening, we will send you information relating to colour selections and specification details. This way, early thought can be given to the choices that lay ahead. The plans will be forwarded to you as soon as they are completed.PrestartNow it is time for your Prestart Meeting. An appointment will be made at a time convenient to you to attend our offices and meet with one of our trained and experienced Contracts Administrators.Here you will receive expert assistance when going through your plans, specifications and colour selections. When everything is to your satisfaction, the documents will be finalised and the HIA independent building contract, the working drawings and the specification list will be signed. With all approvals in place your new home will be ready for construction. |
